Funding is now available through the RRAP conversion program

This news is for the Toronto housing developers. Funding is now available through the RRAP Conversion program to convert non-residential buildings into new, affordable rental accommodation. RRAP Conversion is designed to augment the supply of affordable housing available rather than intensify the existing stock.

RRAP funding is also available for improvement of existing apartments and rooming houses.

Program details in convenient guidebooks are available with the proposal forms. Please note that non-profit projects already receiving social housing subsidies are not eligible for RRAP funding. If you have any questions, please contact CMHC's Ontario Business Centre at 416-221-2642 to confirm your project's eligibility for RRAP funding. In addition, the RRAP program may not be piggybacked with the federal/provincial Community Rental Housing Program.

Proposals for this year's funding release must be received by July 29, 2005 4:30:00 p.m. at Shelter, Support and Housing Administration, Metro Hall, 55 John Street, 6th floor. The forms and useful guidebooks will be available shortly for downloading on the City of Toronto's website at: www.toronto.ca/housing/rrap.htm. Proposal forms and guidebooks will also available very shortly from the Access Toronto desk of each Toronto Civic Centre and from the Shelter, Support and Housing Administration office at Metro Hall, 6th floor, 55 John Street.

For detail, please see http://www.toronto.ca/housing/rrap.htm
