Program Education Assistant
|
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Support our Resource Area with a project to animate the area with resources (online and on-site), and community outreach engagement;
- Assist and support the centre through this project, by bringing community resources in, while also promoting our programs and services to the community;
- Assist and support summer programs through program planning and execution of the program activities
- Teach and coach children through tasks and activities (i.e. arts and crafts, cooking, sports, games, etc)
- Support our social media strategies and digital platforms;
- Assist the settlement team to facilitate online and in-person programs for newcomers, youth, women and seniors;
- Assist with data entry, compiling the statistic report, client survey and preparing program materials.
Required Qualifications: post-Secondary
Language required for the position: English, Cantonese and Mandarin
Terms and Conditions:
- Salary: $15.50 per hour
- Hours of work: 35 hours per week
- No. of weeks: 8
- Anticipated Start Date / End Date: July 4 to August 25, 2023

- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and;
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations;
- International students are not eligible.
