Volunteer Position: AI Tutor (in-person / virtual)
Program Area and Description: Settlement & Integration Services (SIS) – Seniors Program; Teaching seniors to use AI application on smartphones (e.g. ChatGPT app)
Location: CICS Head Office, 2330 Midland Avenue, Scarborough, ON, M1S 5G5

Time Commitment: Once a week; 1.5 hours per shift (can be discussed with volunteer’ schedule and availability)

Requirements:
- A copy of valid Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) which obtained in the most recent 12 months;
- Strong knowledge of AI apps
- Familiarity with both Android and iOS platforms
- Experience teaching seniors or beginners
- Able to help with phone settings and fixing phone problems
- Patient, clear communicator, and approachable
- Cantonese/Mandarin speaking is required
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach seniors step by step how to use AI apps
- Demonstrate practical tasks using AI app
- Encourage hands-on practice and answer questions
- Provide support and troubleshoot issues during lesson
- Adapt lessons to individual needs and learning speeds, adjust teaching methods if needed
