Job Title:

Camp Counsellor – Early-years Program

 

Assisting RECE worker in providing safe and stimulating activities for young children aged 4 - 6 years.  The main duties include setting up activities, preparing program materials, snack preparation, supervising children during program time, cleaning toys & equipments, and program wrap-up.

 

DUTIES:

  • Greet parents and children during drop-off and pick-up time.
  •  Assist in setting up activities for children.
  •  Actively engage in activities with children by playing with them and guiding their learning in a loving and caring approach.
  • Assist in supervising children during program time. 
  • Supervise children during washroom routine. 
  • Assist in preparing and serving snacks.
  • Assist in preparing carfts activities, posters for social media, and PowerPoint slides for programming.
  • Help clean and organize materials after craft and/or messy activities.
  • Attend daily debriefing meeting with staff after the program to reflect and review the program.
  • Disinfect and clean the space, toys, and equipment after the program.

Required Qualifications: Post Secondary

Language required for the position:  English

Position #1:

·         Salary: $17.20 per hour

·         Hours of work: 35 hours per week

·         No. of weeks: 8

·         Anticipated Start Date / End Date: June 23 to August 15, 2025

  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and;
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations;
  • International students are not eligible.
